At the session of the Regional Council, the deputies adopted decisions, appointed officials, and appealed to the senior management

Today, May 25, the second plenary meeting of the seventh session of the Regional Council of the VII convocation chaired by Mykhailo Rivis took place, the press service of Transcarpathian Regional Council informed.

 Traditionally, the deputies began their work in the session hall with a moment of silence to honor the memory of the soldiers killed in the east of the country, including a fellow Transcarpathian, a soldier from Vynogradiv district Viktor Afanasyev.

 Then, there were congratulations on the grand holiday – Ascension, the last bell, and birthdays.

In particular, Mykhailo Rivis congratulated on the 60th anniversary our countryman, the famous Ukrainian heart surgeon, the director of the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery Vasyl Lazoryshynets.

In addition, Miroslav Biletsky submitted a draft decision "On the petition for awarding Vasyl Lazoryshynets with the Honorary Diploma of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine" which he asked to consider today as urgent, – Mykhailo Rivis said.

Also, the Chairman informed about new appointments: Miroslav Mojzita was appointed the Consul General of the Slovak Republic in Uzhgorod, Volodymyr Kolesnikov – the deputy head of the regional state administration.

 Then the deputies agreed on the date of the third plenary meeting – 27th of July. 

At the plenary meeting, the deputies adopted a number of decisions on approval of new regional programs, reports on the implementation of the programs for the last year in the fields of medicine, education, culture, and cross-border cooperation and on amendments to existing ones.  

They also adopted important decisions on effective use of mineral resources, the property of the region and the land rent. And they adopted a number of appeals to the higher echelons of power.
