At the meeting with representatives of the city condominiums, they discussed how to apply for subsidies without queues

At the meeting with representatives of the city condominiums in Uzhgorod city council, they discussed how to apply for subsidy for the heating season 2016-2017, avoid waiting in lines, and quickly receive a decision on appointment of subsidies.

The meeting was held by the Deputy Mayor of Uzhgorod Oleksandr Bilak, the head of the labor and social protection department of Uzhgorod city council Andriy Biksey and his deputy Miroslav Horvat.

According to Andriy Biksey, in connection with the beginning of the heating season, the number of people wishing to apply for subsidy has significantly increased. However, it became clear that, despite the extensive information campaign, complications arise because of the lack of public awareness of the algorithm for application for subsidies. In particular, residents make mistakes in applications and declarations, service providers (electricity, gas, water) have different data on the number of residents, gas or electric heating are not registered, and so on.

To avoid queues when submitting applications and declarations, representatives of condominiums were suggested to elect responsible persons who would apply for subsidies for each condominium.

In addition, the head of the department of labor and social protection Andriy Biksey suggested representatives of the condominiums to convene meeting of residents, and workers of the social protection department would come to those meetings and tell about all the nuances of subsidies. The deputy head of the department Miroslav Horvat said that the managers of condominiums must take care about their residents, particularly elderly and disabled people.
