The driver of the jeep "Nissan Terrano", 33-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk region, said that he was a member of the "Right Sector". A rifle "Saiga" with 60 rounds, a knife, a bat, a brass knuckles and body armor was seized from him.
Today, about 13.30, at the post N.Vorota in Volovets district, the police stopped to check a suspicious vehicle that was moving from Lviv region.
Two young men were riding in the jeep "Nissan Terrano". An object looking like a knife drew the attention of law enforcement officers.
When the policemen carefully inspected interior and trunk of the jeep, they found a hunting rifle "Saiga", 60 rounds of 7.62 mm, a knife, a brass knuckles, a bat, and body armor.
The jeep was driven by a 33-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk region. He called himself a member of the "Right Sector".
The weapons was seized and sent for examination. The investigation will find out the purpose of the both men’s visit to Transcarpathia.
Due to recent developments, comprehensive thorough inspections of vehicles are being carried out to detect weapons and other dangerous items.
