Yesterday, on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, border guards of the Chop detachment together with customs officers prevented illegal cross-border transportation of tobacco products.
As a result of an in-depth inspection of a car at the checkpoint "Tisa", the inspection group found a sofa in a minibus "Mercedes". During the subsequent inspection, they found hidden tobacco products in the sofa.
Overall, they found 1,960 packs of cigarettes of various brands made in Ukraine.
The contraband tobacco products were seized according to the established procedure and estimated at more than 40,000 UAH. Along with the cigarettes, the sofa worth 4,000 UAH was seized from the Ukrainian.
