At night, there were two explosions in Uzhgorod

According to the police, the explosions occurred at 3:45 and 3:55 at night.

According to preliminary information, explosions occurred at two different addresses. According to our data, the recipients are a member of the City Council Mandych and a "Cossack", the head of a condominium Savytsky

In the first case, the incident occurred in a private yard.

There, the blast damaged windows and a car – the Mukachevo.net wrote. According to unofficial information, the incident occurred in the yard of Uzhgorod city council deputy Yuriy Mandych.

In the other case, the explosion occurred near an apartment building, in the yard.

According to the korzonews.info, residents of the neighborhood on Lavrischev street were awakened by a loud explosion. It immediately triggered alarms of many parked cars.

As it turned out, the cause was the arson of the car of one of the local residents.

This "VAZ" belongs to a member of the Transcarpathian regional organization of "Cossack territorial defense of Ukraine," Deputy Ataman Igor Savytsky.

According to eyewitnesses (not yet officially confirmed), a bomb was planted under the car. The explosive power apparently was small, because besides the "Cossack VAZ", only a "Peugeot" located nearby was a little damaged.

It is possible that the incident is connected with the approach of the second round of Uzhgorod mayoral elections – according to neighbors, Igor Savytsky was actively involved in the campaign and was a member of the local PEC from the party "Vidrodzhennya".

UPD.  We contacted Igor Savytsky to verify the accuracy of the information received.

He commented on the incident:

– Yes, it is what happened. An RGD grenade was thrown under the car.

– What do you think was the reason for this?

– I have no enemies, no businesse, so I attribute the explosion to my participation in the electoral process. I am not very frustrated, the car is just a piece of metal, the most important thing is that nobody was hurt. I am also sorry about the neighbor’s car, he definitely has nothing to do with it…

In both cases, nobody was hurt. The explosions were insignificant.
