Artist from Odesa will present her works in Uzhgorod Skansen (Announcement)

On April 12, 2017, painter, book designer, portrait artist from Odesa Katerina Biletina will present her creative achievements in the Museum of Folk Architecture and Life.  

At 11.00, the plein air will begin, during which the artists will be painting girls in traditional folk costumes from different parts of our region. The plein air will take place on the territory of Skansen in the atmosphere of immersion in traditional folk culture of Transcarpathia. Visitors will be able to see the work process of famous artists Katerina Biletina, Anton Kovach, Andriy Kartashov and other artists of the region.

At 15.00, there will be the presentation of the book by Katerina Biletina "Defenseless to Beauty" – a collection of artistic reconstructions of folk clothing that was published in 2016. In an original manner, at a high artistic level and with a documentary accuracy, the author made reconstructions of traditional Ukrainian clothes of different ethnographic regions.

And at 16.00, there will be the opening of the exhibition of the artist from Odesa "Flowers of Transcarpathia." The paintings presented at the exhibition are part of the project "Ukrainian portrait", initiated by the artist in 2004.Portraits of friends in Ukrainian national clothes, portraits of residents of different parts of Ukraine in national costumes are the main genre of Katerina’s works. The artist travels Ukraine and has created a gallery of modern Ukrainian faces.
