Arbuzov will tell Ukrainians about the harmfulness of “currency stashes”

The Committee against unscrupulous foreign exchange of the National Bank prepares the educational campaign.
The head of the National Bank Serhiy Arbuzov said this in his interview to the "Komentari".
"We explain to the population using the examples and facts that keeping currency under the pillow is unprofitable. Hryvnia deposits, treasury bills, investment in housing in any case brings more benefits for the people and the country. We are preparing informational campaign which will cover all regions of the country," – he said.
Also Arbuzov expressed confidence that the law providing for the introduction of 15% tax on currency sales would be passed by the Parliament soon.
"The NBU is still actively fighting with those who are trying to earn on artificial rocking of exchange rate. For this purpose, the draft law "On amendments concerning transactions with foreign currencies" has been prepared. It provides for a 15% tax for mandatory pension insurance on the sale of foreign currency for cash hryvnia. The need to introduce such a rule is obvious (…) We hope that the Parliament will soon support this project," – said the head of the National Bank.
Earlier, the Chairman of the National Bank committee against unscrupulous foreign exchange Yuri Horshkov said that there would be no fundamental changes in the bill, which provides for a 15% tax to the pension fund on currency sales.
