According to her, the truck was driven by a 48-year-old resident of the village of Serednye Vodyane. During the inspection of the documents for the timber provided by the driver, the police had suspicions about their authenticity, so an investigative team was called to the scene.
"The police inspected the cargo and found out that the actual data did not match those specified in the documentation. Police investigators opened a criminal case over the crime under Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, ie forgery of documents," – the spokeswoman said.
Currently, the truck with timber has been taken to the impound lot. The case is under pre-trial investigation.
