Operatives of the Economy Crime Department in Transcarpathian region and investigators of the Transcarpathian regional prosecutor’s office recorded the fact of extortion by an employee of Uzhgorod National University. It was reported by the site of the National police.
Employees of the Economy Crime Department found out that the Candidate of Law demanded from a student $ 300 for good grades at the exam.
The investigation department of the Transcarpathian regional prosecutor’s office initiated a criminal proceeding over this incident under Part 3 of Art. 368 (Acceptance of an offer, promise or obtaining of undue advantage by an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Law enforcement officers arrested the offender near the university. He had received part of the agreed amount.
