Andriyiv promised that the Castle stairs in Uzhgorod will be fixed up

Today, Tuesday, June 13, there was a press conference of the leadership Uzhgorod city council.

After the mayor reported on the visit of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, who inaugurated the visa-free regime on the border, the mayor answered questions from reporters.

One of them concerned the unique street of the historic center – the Castle stairs. As Uzhgorod.in has repeatedly informed, the state of the interesting spot is far from perfect. 

And the situation worsened, when electrical works started there: lighting is certainly a good thing, but the pavement should have been restored after the work completion. Instead, the contractors just threw some stones into the trench, and the Castle stairs do not look like they are supposed to or used to before the repair. And this has been going on for over a month.

Andriyiv promised that the Castle stairs would be repaired by September. So, take note of the the Mayor’s words – he promised.
