Andriy Lyubka received the Central European Initiative grant

The information that the International Jury decided to award the Central European Initiative Fellowship in 2017 to Ukrainian writer Andriy Lyubka has been posted in social network.

The Central European Initiative Fellowship is awarded to writers under the age of 35 and provides for a grant of EUR 5,000 to cover a three-month residence of a writer in one of the Central European Initiative countries (Austria, Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Ukraine, Croatia, Czech Republic, Montenegro).

According to Andriy Lyubka, during his residence he plans to finish his new book. The writer chose Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia to stay in. The solemn awarding ceremony will take place at the "Vilenica" International Literary Festival in Slovenia (September 6-9, 2017). 

The Central European Initiative Fellowship is awarded to one young Central European writer every year (since 2006) in collaboration with the Central European Initiative (Trieste, Italy) and the Slovenian Writers’ Association (Ljubljana, Slovenia).
