An Uzhgorod resident quarreled with his girlfriend and took her money

Uzhgorod police have started criminal proceedings over misappropriation of money in the village of Velyki Lazy.

A 32-year-old woman reported to law enforcement officers that during the conflict with her boyfriend in a hotel in the village of Velyki Lazy in Uzhgorod district, the latter took her money.

In the course of search operations, officers of Uzhgorod police found out that the money had been taken from the victim by a previously convicted 24-year-old resident of Uzhgorod.

A criminal proceeding over this incident was initiated under Art. 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (robbery). This crime is punished by a fine of fifty to one hundred untaxed minimum incomes, or correctional labor for up to two years, or imprisonment for up to four years.
