An international basketball tournament among veteran teams was held in Transcarpathia

 On 14 to 16 of January, an international basketball tournament among veteran teams took place in Mukachevo. The event was held at the initiative of the Mukachevo City Basketball Club "Carpathian Bears" with the support of Mukachevo City Council.This prestigious tournament, which is held for the ninth consecutive year, was attended by 18 teams (6 female and 12 male) from Austria (Vienna), Lithuania (Vilnius), Latvia (Riga), Slovakia (Kosice, Presov, Humenné) and Ukraine (Kyiv, Odessa, Zhytomyr, Kryvy Rih, Lutsk, Drohobych, Mukachevo). At the opening ceremony of the tournament, the participants were welcomed by deputy of the regional council Zoltan Lendyel, the head of the association of sports veterans of Transcarpathia Yuriy Zakharov and the veteran tournament organizer Serhiy Felbaba.

Winners in the category of men under 45 are:

First place – Drohobych

Second place – Riga

Third place – Lutsk
