An “Audi A4” was seized at the customs office because of a forged signature and stamp

An attempt to import a car "Audi A4" with forged documents was prevented at the customs post "Luzhanka" of the Transcarpathian customs office. The car with Polish registration was driven by a citizen of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian chose the "green corridor" for customs control. The citizen presented for customs control a certificate of vehicle registration, a travel passport to abroad and instructions for the use of the vehicle stamped and signed by a Polish notary.

During the customs control, customs officials took the car out of the "green corridor" and sent it to the "red corridor".

While examining the documents submitted for customs control, customs officers suspected that the letter of authorization was forged.

As a result of the analytical and search activities, a request to the Polish notary was sent. Consequently, they received a response stating that the letter of authorization was forged.

Thus, the citizen committed acts aimed at moving the car through customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control by means of submissions of documents containing false information. These actions of the Ukrainian contain signs of violation of customs rules under Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.

Currently, the report on violation of customs regulations was made, the car worth 1,500 EUR was seized.
