In the community "Uzhgorod" on facebook, representatives of one of the wedding salons of the city published a post that can be considered a "desperate cry."
The entrepreneurs complain about the inaction of the police and the citizens’ indifference to such incidents. Here is the post:
""Burned down? Probably for a reason!’ – unfortunately, it is a very frequent dialogue between average Uzhgorod residents. As you know, our wedding salon "Goddess" was burned down last week. After experiencing this terrible experience, we ask you, citizens, to not be so indifferent, tolerant to violence and the "law of the jungle". Because there is a great risk that one day, when you know that you are doing business honestly, complying with laws, both state and moral, you will also be visited by a beast that lives under the law of the jungle. The beast that condsiders competition not as an incentive to growth, but as a signal to the destruction of competitors. And then there will be a difficult period – the indifference of the police, local authorities, and even journalists. Why? Because of the tolerance of all Uzhgorod residents to the violent methods, to these laws of the jungle, which allow officials to ignore the investigation, not to care about a favorable economic climate for business. It is very sad that honest entrepreneurs have to suffer from arsons, robberies and other savage acts. In order to prevent violence becoming the norm of life in our city, we ask you to not be indifferent. To dispel all doubts in the above-mentioned, here is the footage from the cameras on the night of the arson."
The entrepreneurs ask townspeople to respond and hope that someone will recognize the offender. And also, obviously, that law enforcement agencies will perform their work professionally.
