An American held a quiz for medical interns and visited the first family clinic in Uzhgorod

During the visit of the delegation from the American sister city Korvalis, family physician Mark Rempton and president of the Association of the twin cities of Uzhgorod and Korvalis Pavlo Kolesnik met with the Head of the Health Department of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Roman Shnitser.

The doctors discussed further areas of cooperation, including the development of family medicine.        

Also the meeting with medical interns and family doctors was held at the Faculty of Postgraduate Education of UzhNU. 

After a lively discussion, the American doctor suggested a medical intellectual quiz. Authors of the most complete and accurate responses received prizes – state-of-the-art brand phonendoscopes.

Together with the Uzhgorod colleagues Mark Repmton visited family medicine clinic on Kapushanska str., 161. Soon a center for training and retraining of family doctors will open here.   

Pavlo Kolesnik, assistant professor of medicine and family medicine of UzhNU said that the clinic has long been providing medical care on the family basis: every doctor keeps patients from birth to senior age, clinic has territorial proximity to population and works on multy-profile principle. 

   
 According to the chief doctor of Uzhgorod City Clinic Tetiana Kozak, in addition to this clinic, a whole network of family clinics will soon be formed in the regional center. This will significantly improve and bring medical care closer to residents.
