"Today, I submitted to the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman the nomination of Serhiy Knyazev for the appointment as the head of the National Police of Ukraine. The Prime Minister will make a decision on considering the submitted nomination at tomorrow’s meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine – this information was posted an hour ago at the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov’s Facebook page.
Recall that Serhiy Knyazev entered the ranking of the managerial elite of Transcarpathia in July 2015 – after the memorable events in Mukachevo – in the group of "enforcement" officers headed by Hennadiy Moskal. Knyazev’s service in Transcarpathia was short, but memorable: the establishment of patrol police, concerts on Teatralna Square and public events – a nice façade, behind which there was a complex situation, which police officers led by Knyazev managed to keep under control.
By the way, the Minister recognized this work by placing Transcarpathia first: "In the last three years – the years of war and difficult period of major reform – Serhiy Knyazev worked efficiently in difficult regions: headed regional police offices in Transcarpathia, Rivne, worked in Kyiv and Donetsk regions".
