The most popular countries for immigration among Transcarpathians are Hungary, Czech Republic and Israel. Thus, for the first half of 2016, 444 departures from Transcarpathia for permanent residence in foreign countries were registered. However, 116 applications for citizenship of Ukraine were accepted for consideration.
This, in particular, was announced today, July 25, at the briefing of the Main Department of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region.
In addition, it became known that there are 1,115 foreigners, who have a temporary residence permit, registered with the department. Most of these foreigners stay in Transcarpathia in connection with employment at enterprises of the region and the work at religious organizations. And 2,456 immigrants reside in Transcarpathia permanently.
