At the international checkpoint "Uzhgorod", border guards prevented illegal transportation of excisable goods across the border.
An "inventive" citizen of Ukraine, heading to Slovakia by a car "Ford" with Ukrainian license plates, carefully concealed cigarettes, but failed to carry them across the border. The inspection team found a number of caches with cigarettes. In particular, in the recesses, that were equipped in the left and the right side walls, behind a decorative covering of the luggage compartment, rear bumper, luggage compartment door, behind the front panel and gear stick, they found 384 packs of cigarettes "Jing Ling" without excise stamps Ukraine (66 packs), "NZ Super Slims Black" without excise stamps of Ukraine (98 packs), "Marlboro" with excise stamps of Ukraine (210 packs) and "Parliament" with excise stamps of Ukraine (10 packs).
The cigarettes and the car were seized according to the law. The estimated value of the car "Ford" was almost 194,000 UAH. The value of tobacco products is being established, the press service of the Chop border guard detachment informed.
