A Transcarpathian Yulia Mironova mastered the magic of the sand all by herself

Sand animation or drawing with sand becomes more and more popular in the world today. Amazing paintings created by artists in real time in front of the audience, fascinate and give a sense of belonging to a magic show.

One of these magical sand artists lives in Uzhgorod. Yulia Mironova began to do sand animation relatively recently, about a year ago. She learned everything that she can do now all by herself, sand drawing today is not taught in any university.

To master the art of sand animation, she says, is not that difficult, especially having the appropriate education: Yulia studied fine art in the Transcarpathian Art Institute. The special table with glass surface was made by her father. The light passes through the glass, and the sand blocks the flow of light, thus the desired effect is achieved both by picture and by play of light and shadow. The sand is ordinary, just sifted through a sieve for flour.

The greatest difficulty is to make the right and the correct line in one movement.
