A Khust entrepreneur was selling vodka in violation of the law. This fact has been found out in the course of "Excise" operation by officers of the operational department and the excise goods taxation and trade control department of the Main Office of the Ministry of Income in Transcarpathian region, while taking planned measures to establish effective control over the market of excisable goods.
As a result of the audit, it was found out that the entity was selling alcohol products at prices lower than the minimum retail prices for such products established by law. Thus, the entrepreneur violated Article 18 of the Law of Ukraine "On state regulation of production and trade of ethyl, cognac and fruit alcohol, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products" and the Resolution of the CMU №957 of October 30, 2008 "On establishing the minimum wholesale and retail prices for certain types of alcoholic beverages."
It should be noted that since the beginning of August 2014, the minimum wholesale price for vodka and other liquors is 133 UAH per 1 liter of 100% alcohol, and the retail price for vodka and other liquors is 199.5 UAH per 1 liter of 100% alcohol. For example, the minimum retail price for 0.5 liters of vodka with the alcohol content of 40% shall be is 39.90 UAH.
