A Transcarpathian poacher was wounded while trying to resist Slovak police

Near the village of Marovan in Slovakia, during the operation of the local police to detect facts of poaching, a car Suzuki Samurai with a local resident and a citizen of Ukraine was stopped, the strichka.com informs.

During the document check and inspection of the vehicle, the Ukrainian pointed a gun at the police officers. As the man was not responding to verbal orders of the police officers to lay down the weapons, one of them was forced to shoot at the offender, hitting him in the arm and leg. Then, both offenders were detained. Later, the bodies of killed deers were found in the car.

The detained men did not have necessary documents for hunting, therefore the killing of the animals was a crime punishable by up to three years in prison. The citizen of Ukraine was hospitalized, he faces up to 8 years in prison.
