A Transcarpathian found live ammunition and tried to sell it

A resident of Mukachevo was trying to sell 7.62 mm round.

The police together with the Security Service of Ukraine did not allow the man to follow his criminal intentions. Currently, investigators are investigating this fact.

Recently, Transcarpathian police received the information that a resident of Mukachevo was trying to sell ammunition.

The offender was arrested by operatives of Mukachevo Police Department together with officers of the Security Service of Ukraine on Pronin Street in Mukachevo. 37 cartridges of 7.62 mm were seized from him. The man told the policemen that he had found them near a military site.

The investigators sent the seized ammunition for examination. Currently, criminal proceeding over the incident was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is illegal handling of ammunition. The investigation continues.
