A storm warning throughout Ukraine until Saturday has been declared

Due to the sharp deterioration of the weather a storm warning across Ukraine from 11th to 15th of December has been declared.

In the western regions snow blizzard is expected, in northern and central regions – heavy wet snow and ice. All this can lead to accidents on roads and falling of the snow from roofs, which is dangerous for pedestrians. In the southern part of the country and Azov area strong wind up to 15-22 m / s can break tree branches.
Tomorrow, December 12, a southern cyclone moving through Ukraine will provoke a strong wind up to 15-22 m / s in all regions. Gusty winds will be complicated with heavy snowfalls. As a result, throughout the country severe blizzards, sometimes with sleet, are expected. Visibility on the roads will worsen. Motorists are advised to be very careful while driving. In southern Ukraine there will be heavy rains and gusty winds. The falling of trees is possible.
From 13 to 15 of December, the temperature drops significantly – to minus 5-10 degrees Celsius. Ice will form on roads and sidewalks.
In this regard, traffic police of Ukraine remind drivers of the need for strict observance of traffic rules.
The traffic police also recommends drivers during severe weather conditions if possible to avoid travelling by personal vehicle, and if not, to drive as carefully and cautiously as possible.
