Yesterday, on the bank of the Uzh, near the bypass road of the city of Uzhgorod, a metallic object looking like a mortar shell was found. The dangerous object was found by a fisherman, who immediately called rescuers.
Bomb experts of the special-purpose rescue squad that arrived at the scene identified the object as a mortar shell of 82 mm caliber. It was removed and destroyed on the same day in a specially designated place, – the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region reported.
