A schoolboy from Khust district with eco-paper project won at the International Ecology Olympiad

Our genius! Valentin Frechka, a schoolboy from the village of Sokyrnytsia, who is a multiple winner of the national ecology and biology competitions, made another breakthrough – he won the international student Ecology Olympiad in Kenya, Khust.Today reported.

The 11-grade student is a regular member of the Small Academy of Sciences and has won other victories. The scientific supervisor of the talented boy Olga Sabadosh says that one of the most significant achievements of the student are the victory at the All-Ukrainian scientific and technical competition "Intel Eco-Ukraine 2018", also the brilliant schoolboy won gold medal at the International Festival of Engineering Sciences and Technologies "I-fest" in Tunisia. The young scientist presented there his own scientific project – the production of paper from fallen leaves.

 

And recently, Valentin Frechka participated in the International Student Ecology Olympiad "Golden climate" (Kenya, the city of Nairobi).  Young scientists presented and defended their own projects there.

All participants were greeted by the Minister of Environment and Forests of Kenya, representatives of other ministries and departments.

Valentin presented his unique eco-invention for the production of paper from fallen leaves. Thus, he won the Golden Award and the Grand Prix for Ukraine.

In June, the Transcarpathian genius will go to the United States; if he successfully defends his the method of paper production, he will be able to receive a scholarship for studying in the United States.
