A representative of the “KMKS” was elected the chairman of the Beregovo District Council

A representative of the Hungarian party "KMKS" Jozsef Shin chaired Beregovo district council. He was elected on Thursday by secret ballot. A representative of another Hungarian party – the Democratic Party of Hungarians of Ukraine – Laszlo Horvath was elected the deputy chairman. These two factions formed a coalition in the city council.

A total of 34 deputies were elected to the district council, representing five political forces: "KMKS" – 12 deputies, "United Center" – 8 deputies, Democratic Party of Hungarians of Ukraine – 7 deputies, "Vidrodzhennya" – 4 deputies, "Solidarnist" – 3 deputies.
