A Portuguese lost his scooter at the customs post “Luzhanka”

Yesterday, Transcarpathian customs officers found a scooter in the luggage compartment of a "MERCEDES-BENZ".

The incident took place in the area of the ​​customs post "Luzhanka", where a citizen of Portugal arrived by the said car. During the customs control, taking into account the risks, customs officers took the vehicle out the general line for in-depth inspection. As a result, they found a scooter "PEUGEOT V-Clic" with signs of having been in use.

The foreigner explained that the scooter belonged to him personally, he had bought it new and had not registered it in Portugal. He was carrying it to Chernivtsi region, where he planned to live. At the time of entry, the citizen had no documents confirming the temporary or permanent residence in Ukraine.

Thus, the citizen of Portugal violated the customs control procedure, during customs control he had goods in the amount exceeding the untaxed norm of carrying across the customs border of Ukraine established by law.

These actions have signs of violation of customs rules under Article 471 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. Based on Article 511 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, the scooter worth almost 38,000 UAH was temporarily seized.
