Investigators of Uzhgorod district police department are determining the circumstances of illegal enslavement of an Uzhgorod resident in the village of Haloch. During the inspection of a suspicious vehicle, officers of the patrol police found in the trunk a man with his hands tied and a polyethylene bag on the head. It turned out that two Uzhgorod citizens, a 25-year-old and a 23-year-old, called a 26-year-old acquaintance to talk. During the conversation with the latter, the two inflicted him mild injuries and locked him in the luggage compartment of a car "Mazda".
However, they were stopped by patrol police officers of the Uzhgorod district police department. Now the 25-year-old and the 23-year-old men are suspected of criminal acts under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – under Part 2 of Article 146 and Part 2 of Article 189, ie enslavement or abduction of a person and extortion by a group of persons. The man were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine. They face imprisonment for the crime. The pre-trial investigation continues.
