Emergency medical care will become more accessible and quick for more than 6,400 highlanders of Velyky Berezny district. Today, a new emergency medical aid station was opened in the village of Kostrynska Roztoka. From now on, a paramedic crew will be on round-the-clock duty there. The paramedics will be providing medical care to the inhabitants of the mountain villages of Lyuta, Kostryno, Vyshka, Kostrynska Roztoka, Sil, Domashyn.

The service radius will be reduced from 50 km to 20 km, and thus the time for the crew to reach the most remote settlement of V. Berezny district – the village of Lyuta – will decrease (from 50-60 minutes to 30 minutes from the moment of call).
In order to ensure the work of the new station, 10 new posts were introduced to the Transcarpathian territorial center of emergency medical aid: 4,5 – for paramedics, 4,5 – for drivers, and 1 – for technical staff. In the newly renovated premises, there is a recreation room, a shower and necessary conditions for the work.

According to the director of the Transcarpathian territorial center of emergency medical aid Foma Bilynets, since the beginning of this year three new emergency medical aid stations have been opened in the region. The first two were opened in the village of Komyaty in Vynogradiv district and the village of Dorobratovo in Irshava district. In total, there are 11 stations, three substations and 68 permanent ambulance points in the region.
