A minibus wanted by the Interpol was found by Transcarpathian border guards

The established cooperation with the international organization Interpol and the exchange of information allow the State Border Guard Service to effectively detain persons and vehicles that are in the international wanted list. Since the beginning of 2018, border guards of the Chop detachment have detained 7 international criminals and 13 stolen cars.

In particular, yesterday in the afternoon, border guards of the checkpoint "Tisa" found a vehicle that was in the international wanted list. During the inspection of a minibus Mercedes-Benz, which had arrived from Hungary driven by our compatriot, they found out that the vehicle was in the Interpol database. Border guards reported that fact to representatives of the Ukrainian Interpol Bureau and the National Police. Subsequently, law enforcement officers found that the 2003 vehicle had been stolen two months ago in Portugal.

Therefore, the soldiers called the investigative team of the Uzhgorod Police Department. Upon completion of the necessary procedural measures, the vehicle with the passengers, accompanied by the investigation team, will be sent to the Uzhgorod Police Department for further investigations.
