A man tore up a document and threw it in the trash

These actions were committed by a citizen of Ukraine who arrived to the customs post "Tisa" by a truck "DAF" with a tank semitrailer "VOCOL VENLO".

The situation at the border unfolded as follows.

To move the tank semitrailer "VOCOL VENLO" into Ukraine, the Ukrainian presented customs officers a certificate of registration for the vehicle, invoice, CMR, the letter of authorization, by which one of the companies authorizes him to operate the vehicle, and personally filled customs declaration where he specified information about the truck and the said tank.

According to the invoice, the cost of the tank semitrailer is 6,200 Euro. The seller of the item is a Croatian company, and the buyer is Ukrainian company. However, according to the CMR, the buyer is a company other than that mentioned in the invoice.

This information was the grounds for a detailed customs inspection of the vehicle and documents of the driver.

Then the most interesting part happened: the driver, in the presence of customs officials, tore the document into pieces and threw it in the trash. Having retrieved the document, customs officials found that it was an export cargo declaration of the customs authorities of Croatia, under which the seller of the semitrailer was a Croatian company, the buyer – a Ukrainian company, and its cost is more than 13,800 Euro.

The citizen refused to comment on his actions and to provide any explanation.

His actions hace signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.

Currently, a report on violation of customs regulations has been drawn up against the Ukrainian, and the tank semitrailer was seized until final judgment.
