While implementing special measures to combat illegal migration, border guards of the Chop detachment detained a group of illegal migrants numbering 11 people.
Thus, on the night of 15 to 16 of June, 2015, at the site of the boder guard unit "Uzhgorod", which guards the Ukrainian-Slovak border, the alarm complex detected a movement of people. The Task Force with a trained dog, which arrived at the scene within minutes, found signs of trespassing by a group of people. As a result of the search with the use of thermal imaging device and a sniffer dog, 800 meters to the state border, the squad found and detained eleven unknown persons without documents. Among the offenders, there were two men, two women and seven minors aged 1 to 16 years. The violators reported that they were citizens of Armenia and trying to get to Germany in search of a better life.
All detainees are well. After delivery to the border guard unit, they were provided with hot meals and basic necessities. The "travelers" are currently being identified. After drafting administrative and procedural documents, their fate will be determined in court.
