A large group of illegal immigrants was detained last night by Ukrainian border guards in cooperation with Slovak colleagues in a joint special operation "Frontier-2017".
In total, 16 citizens of Vietnam, including 12 men and 4 women, were detained. They were going through a forest area outside the crossing points in the direction of the Ukrainian-Slovak border. First, during the operational search measures, border guards of the department "Huta" of the Chop detachment detained 14 people, and later, during the inspection of the area, two more illegal immigrants. All the detainees were not in possession of any documents and said that they were the citizens of Vietnam.
Currently, the offenders were brought to the Department of Border Guard Service for filtration activities and drafting of relevant legal documents. After the identification, the detainees will be brought to administrative responsibility under Part 2 of Art.204-1 CAO "Violation or attempted violation of the state border."
