A gambling establishment disguised as a coffee shop was shutdown in Transcarpathia

In the evening of September 3, law enforcement officers stopped the operation of a gambling establishment in the village of Nyzhnia Apsha in Tyachiv district. 
At the scene, employees of the investigative team found out that there was gambling equipment in the cafe. Investigators found out that the tablets in the room could be used for gambling, so it was decided to seize the equipment for detailed examination. The police identified the owner of the establishment. He is a 24-year-old local resident who is currently under investigation. 
Investigators registered information about the organization of services in the field of gambling in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Art. 203-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. 
The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 40 thousand non-taxable minimum incomes. The case is under pre-trial investigation, – the communication department of the Transcarpathian regional police informs.
