A drunkard was beating his wife and threatened to kill her with a bayonet. The woman could not stand

The district inspector of Irshava police department Lt. Mykhailo Deshko serves the villages of Dorobratovo, Horbok and Nehrovo. A woman from the latter village recently turned to him for help, reporting that her husband was constantly swearing and threatening her and her son with physical violence. 

The policeman, having received this information, immediately visited the family. The woman was tearfully waiting for the policeman on the street. She and her son for three days had been suffering drunken quarrels, accompanied with beatings. The woman did not want to disclose family feuds and tried to hide them all the time. But her husband, while being drunk, was carrying a military bayonet. With this knife, the drunk man had repeatedly threatened the woman and her son with physical violence. 

These family quarrels would have lasted a long time, if not for the appeal to the local policeman, who stopped the criminal actions of the man towards his family members.

The investigator of Irshava District Police Major Olesya Zeykan opened a criminal proceeding over this fact. Now the rowdy will be prosecuted under Art. 129 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (threat of physical violence and murder), Part 1 of Art.125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional minor bodily injury) and Part 2 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (wearing knives without statutory authorization).
