A damaged bulletproof vest is already in the museum (PHOTOS)

Recently, Irshava district historical museum was visited by Mykhailo Bodnar from Dovhe and Victor Ilnytsky from Chorny Potik, who had come home from the ATO zone for a short-term vacation. They came for a reason, to give the museum a gift from the front – a bulletproof vest damaged in the battles near Luhansk.

According to Mykhailo Bodnar, he brought this damaged "armor" and the yellow-blue flag signed by soldiers of his battery for his own home museum. But having learnt that in Irshava, at the House of Children’s Creativity, there is the district museum and that we are also interested in such things, he decided to give it to our institution, the director of the museum, known historian Andriy Svitlynets said. The official delivery of the bulletproof vest was "witnessed" by workers of the House of Children’s Creativity and a representative of district press Mykhailo Isak.

As the museum director says, it is not the first exhibit of the current war in Ukraine, that has "arrived" to the district museum. Last year, thanks to social activist Yevhenia Shutka, the museum was visited by Yuriy Patskan from Irshava, who gave for permanent storage a piece of a shell and an old slide rule, which had been previously used to calculate artillery firing.
