A criminal wanted by Interpol was detained at the checkpoint “Uzhgorod”

Yesterday at the checkpoint "Uzhgorod", border guards detained a 21-year-old man, our compatriot, who is wanted for committing a criminal offense.
The young man was trying to return to the territory of Ukraine when he was stopped by the border guards. 
While checking the documents of the passengers of a bus driving from Slovakia, one of them was found in the Interpol database. Border guards informed representatives of the Ukrbureau of Interpol and the National Police about this fact. At the request of border guards, the Working Office of the Ukrbureau of Interpol confirmed that the foreigner was wanted for a number of offenses under Part 2 of Article 186 of the Criminal Code ("Robbery (involving violence)") and Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukrain ("Intentional destruction or damage to property" (by arson)).
Upon completion of the relevant procedural measures, the offender was handed over to the investigative team of the National Police.
