A comprehensive program of social support for the ATO participants and their families has been developed in Transcarpathia

The Department of Social Welfare of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration jointly with other departments and the public developed a comprehensive regional program for 2015-2017 for social support, adaptation of the soldiers participanting in the anti-terrorist operation and their families, commemoration of the victims. The program was approved by the order of the head of the RSA dd. 24.03.2015 № 90 and submitted to the session of the regional council for approval. By the same order, the regional coordinating council was established to address issues of servicemen, participants of the ATO and their families.

Also working groups are being established to address issues of combatants, who have participated in the anti-terrorist operation, and families of killed soldiers participating in the ATO, involving specialists of structural units of district state administrations, executive committees, departments and divisions of the central executive power, military commissariats, NGO representatives, volunteers and benefactors. The working groups will visit each participant of the ATO with questionnaires to determine their social needs. Based the survey results, local executive authorities will develop their own programs of social support for this category of citizens. The programs will be considered fulfilled after solution of all issues of each ATO participant.
