A city program of public initiative budget is being implemented in Vynogradiv district

Project proposals for Vynogradiv will be accepted from March 1. 
According to the competition rules, projects can be submitted by adult residents of Vynogradiv who have collected 25 (for small projects – financing up to 100 thousand hryvnias) or 50 (large project – financing up to 500 thousand) signatures of the city residents. After approval by the special coordination council at the City Council, the voting for the projects begins.
During the preparation of the public budget, the Vynogradiv City Council was advised by Mykola Syusko, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional Office of the ULEAD with Europe Program. "We have already provided a number of consultations for the united territorial communities, city councils, which have decided to implement public budget," – Mykola Syusko said.
– Public budget is not just an opportunity to open a new playground in the city or to make improvements. First of all, it is a very important step for the development of local self-government and active civil society, the establishment of communication between local authorities and residents. We were very glad when the Vynogradiv City Council asked the Regional Office for advice on this matter. I suggest that other united communities and other local governments to implement public budgets. For our part, we are ready to provide any necessary assistance."
