A 31-year-old Transcarpathian was killed by a tree while harvestin wood

Mizhhirya district police began an investigation into an accident in the forest in Transcarpathia.

Yesterday, during the harvesting of firewood, a local resident died in the "Kryvy" tract in Kolochava. While cutting a trunk, the 31-year-old man was crushed by a tree.

The victim died at the scene of the incident. The doctors, who came at the scene, stated that the man had injuries incompatible with life.

Mizhhirya district police opened a criminal proceeding over the incident under Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine with the note "Accident". Investigation activities are taking place at the scene. The body of the deceased was sent to the morgue of the Mizhhirya District Hospital.
