A 28-year-old Transcarpathian man suspected of a number of thefts has been detained

In Mukachevo, criminal police officers detained a man suspected of a number of thefts in the city. The detainee is a 28-year-old previously convicted local resident.   
During the night, the man robbed two local shops on Rynkova and Molodizhna streets. In both cases, the offender broke shop windows, entered inside, and stole money from the cash registers. Law enforcement officers recorded every fact, the case is still under investigation. The evidence was partially seized.  
The man has already been notified of being suspected of committing crimes, he will be held in a temporary detention facility for the duration of the investigation, the pre-trial detention has been imposed on him. According to the sanction of part 3 of article 185 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (theft combined with breaking and entering) he faces imprisonment for a term of 3 to 6 years. The police are also checking the man for involvement in other similar crimes in the city.
