In the period of six month in 2012 there have been recorded 10 cases of entrepreneurs selling alcoholic beverages or tobacco products to persons under the age of 18. As a result, the authorities adopted 10 decisions on the application of financial sanctions and canceled nine operating licenses to sell tobacco products.
Tax Service specialists will continue exposing the unscrupulous entrepreneurs who are trying to make money on the health of adolescents. Ignorance of the law in this case is not an excuse, because each business entity is familiar with the rules of cigarettes and alcohol trade.
We remind that under the current legislation, the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to children shall be punished by revocation of licenses and penalties. The size of the penalty that applies to the company is 6800 hryvnia.
In addition, one may lose the license for selling alcohol and tobacco in inappropriate places and in case of failure to pay the next payment for the license within 30 days from the date of its suspension.
