Six illegal immigrants from Vietnam were detained yesterday by border guards of the Chop detachment in cooperation with officers of the National Police in Transcarpathian region during the active phase of the special operation "Frontier-2016".
Having been informed that there might be illegal immigrants in a hotel in the village of Onokivtsi in Uzhgorod district, the police immediately organized the inspection. As a result, a joint patrol of border guards and policemen found in the hotel 6 citizens of Vietnam – 4 men and 2 women. During the interrogation, the detainees admitted that they intended to illegally enter any EU country.
The citizens were delivered to the detention unit in order to clarify the circumstances of their stay in Ukraine. Further filtration and verification activities continue.
