41 Transcarpathians will be punished for theft of electricity

Over the past week, namely from 7 to 13 of August, 2017, employees of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" revealed 41 thefts of electricity.

In particular, 33 reports of violation were drawn up against household consumers and 8 reports – against legal entities (private entrepreneurs, companies, firms, etc.).

Most cases of illegal interference in the power grid among households over the past week were found in Mukachevo district (7 violations). Thus, the most popular violations were damaging of metering devices (damage to the meter hull, broken glass, etc.) as well as damaging and removal of seals.

In the legal sector, facts of thefts were detected in 4 districts, most of them in Uzhgorod district. The most common violation is interference in the metering device by its damaging (damaged meter housing, broken glass, etc.) and affecting the operation of the metering device, – the press service of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC informs.

During the last week, Committees to review reports of violation imposed fines totaling UAH 78.697 thousand, including UAH 31.839 thousand among households and UAH 46.858 thousand in the legal sector.
