State "improvers" finally got to higher education. Currently, in the country they have launched the reform, which provides for dismissal of thousands of public universities employees. In particular, in Kyiv only, 5-6 thousand employees of universities: lecturers, technicians and others will lose their jobs.
In Transcarpathia, about 500 employees of universities will be released. As a source in UzhNU reported to uzhgorod.in, the main university of the region will lose 400 employees.
"Actually, – the source says – the merger of TSU and UzhNU was a step towards this optimization. It is not Fedir Vashchuk’s will – it happens all over Ukraine."
The mass downsizing is planned to be completed by the beginning of the new academic year, that is by September 1.
