Today, in the knight hall of the Palanok castle, there was a press conference, where the organizers unveiled the information about the country’s largest wine festival "Red wine". The President of the Regional Tourist Organization of Transcarpathia Fedir Shandor and the acting director of Mukachevo Tourinfocenter Beata Stolyarenko talked with the journalists. Recall that the festival "Red wine-2019" will be held in Mukachevo, in the "Peremoha" park from January 9 to 14, 2019.
This year, 40 best wineries of Transcarpathia will take part in the festival. According to Fedir Shandor, thanks to the generous sunny days, the harvest and the quality of the grapes were quite high, so a good wine is expected at the largest festival of the country. There will be a nomination for the winners – the nomination "people’s choice" in addition to the existing "the best wine of Transcarpathia", "wine from the mayor of Mukachevo" and "the best festival wine of Transcarpathia".
The registration in the festival-competition will start today at the Center for the provision of administrative services. On December 18 and 19, the selection of 40 winemakers and 16 restaurants to participate in the fest will take place at the open auction.
Also during the festival, there will be a conference on wine tourism, where the updated map of wine tourism in Transcarpathia will be presented. "There will be a lot of new winemakers there, and some winemakers have been removed from the map, because their products no longer meet the standards of today," – Fedir Shandor said.
Tourists will be entertained by caroling groups from all over the region, there will be family games, children’s entertainment areas.
