22.7 million hryvnia was allocated for compensation to owners of Uzhgorod city buses

At the today’s session of the Uzhgorod City Council, the deputies voted for the Program of financing expenditures for compensatory payments for transportation of privileged passengers by city buses in the city of Uzhgorod for 2018, which was supported by members of the executive committee.

The purpose of the Program is to ensure compensatory payments to carriers transporting privileged categories of citizens by city buses, since there are no subventions in the state budget for this purpose.
The organization and control over the implementation of the Program will be carried out by the Labor and Social Protection Department. The calculated need for the funds is UAH 22.7 million.

 Uzhgorod city mayor did not vote because of conflict of interests, since most Uzhgorod buses belong to his family.
