2000 bottles of vodka were removed from illicit trafficking

This was announced by the Acting Chief of Operations Department of the Main Office of the Ministry of Income in Transcarpathian region Andriy Milyuchenko.

Employees of the Department received information about illegal storage of alcoholic beverages in a village in Uzhgorod district.

During the inspection of the site, the tax police found and seized 2,000 bottles of vodka with counterfeit excise stamps.

According to the available information, the vodka "arrived" from Chernihiv region, its estimated cost is 60,000 UAH. Currently, they are establishing how this vodka was delivered to Transcarpathia and how the offenders planned to use it.

In total, since the beginning of 2014, the tax police in the region have seized excisable goods at 900,000 UAH. Two underground alcohol shops have been closed. 3 criminal offenses relatated to illicit trafficking of excisable goods have been registered the Single register of pre-trial investigations.
