The other day, a truck with a Slovak-registered trailer drove into the customs post "Tisa" of the Transcarpathian customs. According to the accompanying documents, the truck was carrying household appliances BORGIO made in Turkey in the amount of 706 packages.
The seller of this product was a Turkish company, and the recipient was a company in Odesa. However, during a detailed examination of the accompanying documents, customs officers had doubts about the logic of movement and route of the commercial vehicle.
Therefore, Transcarpathian inspectors together with border guards conducted an in-depth inspection of the truck with unloading of all goods.
As a result, the discrepancy between the amount of household appliances stated in the documents and the actual amount was found. The final cost of the seized cargo will be determined by an expert.
Thus, the driver moving the goods across the customs border of Ukraine submitted to the customs authority documents containing false information about the designation of the goods and their quantity. These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations under Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
